HISTORY Sagres has two major buildings on cliffs, the lighthouse of Cape St Vincent and the Fortress of Prince Enrique both integrated in the Alentejo Natural Park.
We advise visiting these places at sunset as it is particularly emotional to see the sun "sink" into the sea. And do not forget your camera because it is the best time of day to take pictures.
